‘Redragon’ software for gaming console is not for everyone
The latest version of Maya, a game engine and simulation tool for game consoles, will not be compatible with Xbox One consoles.
In a blog post, Microsoft announced that the software “does not meet Microsoft’s current quality assurance requirements and is not recommended for use on Xbox One.”
The post also stated that Microsoft would provide updates to its Maya support site for future versions of Maya.
“Microsoft is committed to supporting Maya as a technology that supports the Xbox One,” Microsoft said.
“In addition, we are committed to ensuring that Maya’s quality is always evaluated through the same rigorous quality assurance process as any other software on our platform.”
Microsoft said that the company is working with Maya developers to improve the quality of the software.
Microsoft will also be offering a free trial of the Maya 4.5 SDK, which includes the Maya engine and code.
